About NaTakallam’s Translation department:
NaTakallam’s Translation Department accounts for over 60% of the organization’s revenue. Focused on translation and interpretation and adapting its capacity to an AI-driven landscape, the team primarily serves nonprofits and INGOs, including clients such as Save the Children, the Obama Foundation, and the UN. Our team consists of 5 members and engages a majority of translators and interpreters from conflict-affected and Global Majority backgrounds.
This role is designed for a mid-career professional or MBA candidate interested in shaping how organizations position themselves within global conversations.You will work directly with the Head of Translation to elevate NaTakallam’s positioning as a thought leader in language justice, equitable access, and inclusive global communication—translating operational excellence into strategic influence across the humanitarian and development sectors.
This is not a traditional internship. It is a strategic, high-ownership role focused on narrative-building, market positioning, and ecosystem engagement.

Accessibility and inclusive participation
Translate insights into clear positioning opportunities and strategic recommendations
Co-develop high-level content (op-eds, LinkedIn thought pieces, talking points)
Shape a compelling narrative around language as infrastructure for equity and participation
Turn operational work into strategic storytelling that resonates with decision-makers
Research and map relevant organizations, networks, and platforms (e.g., Vital Voices, global forums)
Identify visibility and partnership opportunities aligned with growth priorities
Benchmark how peers and competitors position themselves—and where NaTakallam can differentiate
Support preparation for high-level events (briefings, messaging, positioning notes)
Capture insights and translate them into post-event strategy and actions
Help ensure events lead to tangible visibility and partnership outcomes
MBA candidates or professionals exploring strategy, impact, or global development careers
Individuals interested in bridging business, policy, and social impact
Strong writers who enjoy thinking in systems, narratives, and positioning
Self-starters who are comfortable with ambiguity and ownership
