Copywriting Internship

Position: Copy Writing Internship (unpaid but with benefits)

Part-time: 10-15 hours/week 

Location:  Fully remote

Reporting to: Marketing Manager

Start date: on a rolling basis

Duration: 4-6 months

Core responsibilities:

The intern’s primary duties include but are not limited to:

• Developing content for blogs, articles, guides, product descriptions, marketing campaigns, website copy, digital ads, PR campaigns, and more
• Crafting compelling copy
• Copy editing and polishing content to improve flow and readability
• Ensuring the respect of editorial guidelines and the integrity of our brand identity
• Conducting research on related topics in order to develop original content and fact-check
• Prioritizing multiple pieces with weekly or bi-weekly turnaround
• Attending a weekly team meeting (online)
  

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Current student or recent graduate in communications, marketing, English, Journalism, History or a closely related field (bachelor’s level or vocational training with a solid portfolio)
  
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
  
• Excellent attention to detail
  
• Solid research skills
  
• Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn about new topics related to languages, social impact, humanitarianism, refugees, displacement, social enterprises, etc. 
• Creative, brings new ideas to the table
• Self-motivated, organized and able to meet deadlines
• Commitment to the mission of NaTakallam

Desired Skills:

• Ease/experience working abroad or remotely
• Research experience
• SEO knowledge is a plus
• Experience with WordPress, notably copy editing and publishing blogs
• Interest in areas of social entrepreneurship, cultures and languages
• Proficiency in Arabic/French/Persian/Spanish is a bonus

We offer our interns free access to NaTakallam’s one-on-one individual sessions in Arabic, Armenian, French, Kurdish, Persian, Russian, Spanish or Ukrainian. You’ll experience the unique NaTakallam language learning, get to know our language tutors, and see the direct (and growing) impact you have on their livelihood as part of our team.

Higher consideration will be given to candidates who can commit to 6 months or more, with the availability during some EU work hours for contact time and weekly meetings.
